Before & After Care

Before Your appointment:

DRINK LOTS OF WATER

It is important to be very hydrated before your appointment. As basic as this sounds this will help the ease of insertion and will in fact have you experience less pain the more hydrated the body is.

Eat beforehand

Eating before your appointment making sure blood sugar is not low will help with ease of treatment. This will avoid you feeling light headed or dizzy.

Tell Us About Prior Treatment

Skin can be treated by electrolysis 8 weeks after a laser treatment to the area. Make sure to tell your practitioner when your last laser appointment was.

Keep Skin Clean

Thermolysis uses the hydration in the hair follicle and along with the heat to kill the dermal papilla (the root). Hydration also comes from using moisturizers, making sure to keep your skin clean before and after an appointment.

Exfoliate Your Skin

Exfoliating skin the day before and using hydration creams or masks will help optimize skin for preparation of treatment. Do not use any chemical peels before your appointment as well as any cortisone creams or retinol.

Treatment Ready Hair

Making sure hairs are long enough for treatment is important. It is not like laser where you shave beforehand. The hairs must be long enough to be grabbed by a tweezer. The length of jasmine rice is always a good example but anything longer is perfectly fine.
