Owner / Certified Electrologist

Ashly Barrie

Ashly graduated with honours in August 2019 from the Ottawa Academy School of Hairstyling, Beauty and Aesthetics. She began working as an electrologist before graduating and has been dedicated to her profession ever since.

Having worked at established Ottawa clinics, Ashly has refined her skills using Apilus electrolysis equipment and microscopes to provide precise, individualized treatments.

Her experience includes gender-affirming electrolysis and GCS preparation, PCOS-related hair growth, beard shaping, body hair removal and smaller areas of unwanted hair.

Ashly is passionate about creating an inclusive environment where every client feels respected and supported.

Advanced Electrologist

Charlotte Johnston

Charlotte is an Advanced Electrologist who understands firsthand the difference permanent hair removal can make in someone’s confidence and quality of life.

Inspired by her own personal journey with electrolysis, Charlotte entered the profession to help others navigate the challenges associated with unwanted hair.

As a queer, transgender woman, she brings personal understanding and empathy to clients seeking gender-affirming hair removal, including those experiencing body dysphoria.

Charlotte welcomes clients of all genders and identities and strives to provide a supportive, respectful environment.

Intermediate Electrologist

Lara Abdul

Lara is an Intermediate Electrologist who brings warmth, attention to detail and a client-focused approach to every treatment.

Through training and practical experience alongside established electrologists, Lara has developed her skills in careful, precise electrolysis treatments.

She enjoys helping clients feel confident in their own skin, whether they’re addressing a few stubborn hairs or beginning a longer-term treatment plan.

Lara strives to create a relaxed, welcoming environment where every client feels comfortable, respected and cared for.

Ashly Barrie

Owner / C.E

I Graduated with Honours August 2019 from Ottawa Academy School of Hairstyling Beauty and Aesthetics.

I started working as an electrologist a month before graduating and I have not looked back since. I have worked at two other clinics in the city that are well known.
I have worked very hard on perfecting my skills while working with Apilus machines and Microscopes.

I have worked on countless transgender clients, working anywhere from beard removal to GCS prep.

I’ve also seen countless PCOS cases and have successfully treated many women facing this issue.

Men are also more than welcomed, from lining beards, to eyebrows to unmanageable body hair.

Even if you just have a few chin hairs that drive you crazy, that one stubborn mole hair or that peach fuzz, we can treat you!

I love working with people and am extremely excited to start a new journey.

I want to help you feel better about yourself when you look in the mirror.

I’m comfortable working on clients regardless of gender or sexual identity that want, or need, hair cleared, and I am excited for the opportunity to work with you!

Lara Abdul

Junior Electrolysis Practitioner

I am excited to be starting my journey as a junior electrolysis practitioner at the clinic. Under the guidance of experienced electrologists, I have been trained to ensure safe, effective, and precise treatments.

I love working with people and helping them feel confident in their own skin—whether it’s just a couple of stubborn hairs or a longer treatment plan. My goal is to create a welcoming, relaxed space where every client feels cared for.

I can’t wait to continue growing my skills and meeting new clients along the way!
